A Bay Area Favorite for Endurance Events.
TBSE Inc. has come alongside local athletes since 2005 producing various multi sport events for the community. Whether it be a time trial cycling up a steep hill, an off road Mtn. bike race through the Diablo trail system, an adult flag football league for post college athletes, or even a road running race on any number of surface streets around Walnut Creek and its neighboring cities. Team Blue once stood where all of its athletes now stand, at the start, waiting for the horn to go off to be sent on another adventure with another goal in mind. TBSE enjoys creating exciting events with a challenge in mind for the masses.

Growing a thanksgiving tradition to 7,500 runners is not an easy task, but we did it. Being asked to oversee all things race management and marketing was and is to this day, our specialty. Being engrained in the local running community, we enjoy bringing everybody together to celebrate, especially when you get to justify eating after a run. So join us for this RRCA State Championship 5K race on Thanksgiving morning 2023.
Walnut Creek Running Festival - Walnut Creek CA (2011-19, 2021-22)
The Walnut Creek running festival celebrated its 12th year of running in 2022, and also celebrated 10 years of half marathon running in 2022 as a 10 year anniversary. This event has been an annual tradition for runners from all over California and beyond. The city comes to life during the holiday season and this event is a great draw for folks looking to encounter the beautiful atmosphere of the downtown area as well as the ice skating, food, entertainment, and the shopping that Walnut Creek has to offer.
This large scale running event was created in 2011 to help raise needed funds for our local high schools athletic departments so that they can have the equipment necessary to compete in sports that their school offers, as well as helping families offset the financial impact of playing sports at the high school level. A portion of the registrations from our participants and generous donations from our community business partners will go to helping this endeavor.
The course offers beautiful views for the runners, as they will be completing a loop around Walnut Creek that also includes running through some of Walnut Creek’s most popular parks on the final approach to the finish line.
Series Runner (2011-22)
Series Runner connects runners with great events. Runners book their event through Series Runner and get rewarded for accumulating miles. Book - Run - Reward! That simple.
Visit websiteSonoma Raceway 5K (2016)
In 2016, Sonoma Raceway called upon Team Blue Sky Events to create a race to occur in conjunction with their annual Grand Prix race in the month of September. Owning several hundred acres behind the track, this made for an incredibly fun and challenging 5K, dubbed "The bay areas most difficult 5K." Runners who registered also received free entry into the grand prix event that day. The result was pretty remarkable and led to the exposure of this area as a playground for future outdoor events. Enter Tough Mudder... At least for a few years anyways...
Mt. Diablo Summit Ascent Time Trial (2014-15)
Having roots in cycling and Ironman events, we felt it necessary to test the human endurance levels by creating a cycling race that started at the base of the popular Mt. Diablo, a widely known training ground for cyclists. The race started at the entrance kiosk on the north side and ended at the top in the parking lot. We had a lot of fun with this event and met some pretty remarkable cyclists form all over California.
Walnut Creek Flag Football (2012-19)
Having a love for all things sports, TBSE by way of one of its race directors inherited this league that was on the rise, and is still in existence today in Walnut Creek. Both Co-ed, experienced, and novice flag football players all came out to play in different level leagues, making for a fun and in some cases a very competitive time.
